The Varodem Academy provides training and knowledge sharing in the field of medical compression therapy. Varodem offers accredited and certified training courses, both in person and online.
For healthcare professionals who provide compression therapy to patients as part of their work. This includes skin therapists, edema physical therapists, and compression therapists.
Updates about new training courses and webinars are shared via the Varodem website and Varodem’s social media channels, as well as via newsletters.

Yes, after logging in, you can edit your profile information by going to < Users > > < My profile > > ‘Change profile’.
Your data, including certificates and progress, will be retained in your profile. You can request to have your account deleted.
Training offer
Within the LMS you will find a variety of online training courses, focused on Varodem’s product range.
The available training requires basic knowledge of compression therapy.
The current training courses offered within the LMS are not accredited.
Once you’re logged in to the LMS, click on “Course offerings.” Select the desired topic and click “Add to my courses” under the corresponding course tile. You’ll automatically be taken to the corresponding course page and can easily start taking the first module.
The product training courses within the LMS are free to attend.
The processing time varies by course. Within the course offerings, you’ll see the processing time for each course. This is listed under the title of the course.
Search
Use the search function at the top of the page or navigate through the ‘Course offering’ menu.
Yes, you can filter by category or course type.
Check your search terms or use broader filters. You can also contact us for help finding a suitable training course.
Languages
The courses are available in Dutch. Navigating the LMS is also possible in English and French, in addition to Dutch.
You can change the language via the language selection at the top of the page.
My training courses
After logging in to the website, you’ll see an overview of your active training courses on both the homepage and under the “My Courses” heading. This section also includes a list of completed courses. Adding a new course to this overview is easy via the “Course Listings” page.
Yes, you can view your progress and obtained certificates in your personal dashboard.

Yes, upon successful completion you will immediately receive a digital certificate that you can download.
You can easily download your certificate via ‘My Courses’ > ‘Completed Courses’. You can also navigate to a completed course via ‘Course Listing’. You can then open the relevant course page and download your certificate.
Content and purpose
After logging in to the LMS, you’ll find the introductory video in the top right corner of the homepage. Once you start a training course, the introductory video is replaced by the most recently completed module.
Each training course consists of several content-related video modules, a quiz, a feedback form, and a handout. Each course also includes a content summary and several helpful downloads.

For each available training course, you’ll find a summary of the information covered. Learning objectives are also listed for each available module.
After completing a training course, you can download a handout. You’ll also find downloads on each training page. These include several documents related to the course content. These documents can be useful for fitting, ordering, and delivering the Varodem products discussed in the course.
Check if you’ve already added the training to ‘My Courses’. If you haven’t done so yet, add the training there first. If you have already added the training to ‘My Courses’, check if you’ve completed the previous module. The next module will only be unlocked once you’ve fully completed the previous module.
The progress bar indicates what percentage of the module you’ve completed. If the percentage is 0, it means you haven’t started the module yet.
No, it’s not necessary to complete the video for a module in one sitting. You can close the video page at any time. When you return to the relevant module within the training, you’ll see your progress at a glance. When you click ‘Start,’ the video will resume where you last left off.
You can only fast-forward if you’ve previously watched the video. If you’re watching it for the first time, fast-forwarding isn’t possible.
Check that the microphone in the bottom right corner of the video page is (fully) open. Also check that your device’s microphone is (fully) open.
Once you’ve started a video module, you can’t navigate the LMS simultaneously. If you want to browse the LMS, you must first close the other open tab containing the video module.
On the left side of the training page, you’ll see a “Contact the Academy” button, just below the course tile. Clicking this will open a contact form. Enter your question or comment under “Message” and click “Send.” Your question or comment will be sent to our Academy. One of our staff members will respond to your question as soon as possible.
