Eurotex 2

The Eurotex 2 is a soft stocking with seam (flat knit) in compression class 2 and has medium resistance to circumference increase due to edema. The stocking is suitable for people with moderate edema tendency.

Eurotex 2 has a limited length stretch and is comfortable to wear. Because of the limited length stretch, this stocking is easy to put on and take off. This makes this stocking also suitable for less mobile people and people with loss of strength. Thus, this stocking is very suitable for use in healthcare.

The stocking is made of natural rubber and is available as ready-to-wear and made-to-measure. Eurotex 2 is also available in artificial rubber, the Eurotex 2 XT, in made-to-measure.

Notable:

  • The stockings come standard with the unique Varodem comfort heel.
  • Hip attachments and tights are made in one piece with no seams at the level of the groin for optimal pressure distribution and comfort.
  • The Eurotex 2 also features a unique 'D' size chart in addition to a 'C' size chart. In the 'D' size chart, the cD is larger than cC. This is particularly suitable for people with tapered, flared legs. For legs with little muscle function, this table also provides C minus sizes. In order to ensure that the confection stocking (D table) does not sag, it is standardly provided with a silicone band studs 3.5 cm.

Varodem also offers special custom options upon request. When ordering these special options, prior contact with the Varodem help desk or one of the Varodem product specialists is always required. Special custom options are: silicone bands on the outside, combinations of pressure class, combining silicone bands (3.5 + 3.5 cm, 3.5 + 5 cm and 5 + 5 cm) and a fly vertical on pants. In addition, it is also possible to combine different pressure classes in one stocking. If a fly is chosen, we knit standard cross model B.

More about Varodem stockings

Compression therapy and therapeutic elastic stockings are inseparable. Varodem has built up a very good reputation as a manufacturer of therapeutic elastic stockings. The range of arm stockings, leg stockings, gloves and toe caps has also been created thanks to years of experience and has been put together very carefully. Each of the wide range of products is intended for its own specific application and target group. We offer customized and ready-to-wear stockings with a choice of various models and options. Round-knitted stockings fall under the Souplesse line and flat-knitted stockings under the Euro line. There is also the Flexxie line, seamless gloves and toe caps with the precision of flat-knit. All Varodem therapeutic elastic stockings are registered on the list of Bernink, the quality register of the SEMH. Also, all Varodem stockings are RAL certified and have the Oeko-Tex seal of approval. This mark indicates that the material of a product was produced in an environment that is safe for people and the environment. It also indicates that the material does not contain harmful dyes and/or chemicals.

Varodem stockings are made of different types of materials. Below is a brief explanation of the material and properties.

Natural Rubber

Natural rubber is a latex product extracted from rubber trees and is therefore biodegradable. The great advantage of natural rubber is its restorative ability. As soon as natural rubber comes into contact with water, it recovers to its original shape. Therefore, wash the product as often as possible (at least three times a week). Natural rubber cannot withstand oils, greases and sunlight. Varodem Aloe Vera Gel is the best alternative to use under any compression aid.

Synthetic rubber (XT)

Synthetic rubber is an elastomeric product extracted from petroleum. The recoverability of artificial rubber is less than that of natural rubber. Artificial rubber can withstand oils, greases and sunlight to a certain extent. If you need intensive skin care (cream several times during the day) or are hypersensitive to natural rubber, choose artificial rubber.
